A comparison table of old and new ORF/gene identifiers
Some ORF/gene identifiers of Pyrococcus horikoshii were replaced with new identifiers by the following rules. 1. ORF numbers were inherited except for those with previous identifiers starting with 'PHS'. 2. An alphabetical character like 'a' was added after the ORF number where new ORF was inserted between existing ORFs, including those with previous identifiers starting with 'PHS'. 3. Version number like '.1' was added where the start position of existing ORF was changed. Consequently, the ORFs data was changed as follows. 1. Number of ORFs: 2,061 -> 1,883 2. Number of ORFs changed in N-terminus: 600 (48 from 'PHS' ORFs) 3. Number of deleted ORFs : 367 (11 from 'PH' ORFs) 4. Number of newly added ORFs : 189
