The entire genome of Sulfolobus tokodaii 7T was re-annotated
image We thoroughly updated gene assignment and description of S. tokodaii genome. Genes that had originally been predicted based on 6-frame translation were re-assigned by gene finding software and manual inspection. Annotation that had been done based on poor similarity information was updated. Furthermore, we assigned more than 1,800 references against 1,078 genes as the basis of gene description. All assigned genes were re-classified based on cellular functions using KEGG-like pathway category.
